Playing a Zixi-enabled Stream

To play a Zixi-enabled stream:
Open VLC Player
On the Main Menu, click Media. 
Sub-menu options are displayed. 
Click Open Network Stream.
In the URL field, enter a Zixi stream URL, which includes the following structure:

Zixi://<IP_Address_OR_FQDN_Of Zixi_Broadcaster>:<Output Port>/<channel name>
For example: zixi://demo.zixi.com:2077/sample1﻿
Remote-ID configuration - if you would like to use a specific username/session (password), for example, in case the broadcaster is configured with authorization or you already have a predefined output with specific remote-id, you can do so by adding username:password to the zixi URI. for example: zixi://user:pass@host:port/stream﻿
Click Play.

Playing an Encrypted Zixi Stream
