Alert Escalation and Notification Management Guide: Introduction

ZEN Master serves as an orchestration control-plane for Zixi Platform components (Zixi Broadcasters and ZECs) throughout the deployment. As a central orchestration solution, it gathers health data and statistics from the various Zixi Platform components and analyzes the data over time, measuring it through a wide variety of KPIs. Based on this analysis and a set of rules defined in the Events Rules Profile, ZEN Master escalates the measured KPI from an "OK" state to a "Warning" state and to an "Error" state. The rules also define the conditions for when a notification should be generated.
