overview zixi on air pro is a mobile contribution solution that allows you to stream video from your apple device (iphone, ipad) to a zixi broadcaster contents getting started option 1 zen master streaming to a broadcaster via zen master option 2 platform only streaming directly to a zixi broadcaster monitoring a platform only feed via zen master option 3 streaming via media connect (coming soon) getting started – downloading the app to begin streaming, download the zixi on air pro app from the apple app store on your iphone or ipad, open the app store search for zixi on air pro app tap the get button confirm the download, and open the app during the installation, pop up windows will ask you to allow zixi on air pro to use your device's camera and audio input you must allow access in order for the app to run option 1 streaming to a broadcaster via zen master in zen master, create a zixi onair push source and connect it to the on air pro app create an onair source in a web browser, navigate to https //{youraccount} zen zixi com when you sign in, you should see the zixi zen master dashboard in the left navigation, select sources select +add select zixi enter the following name – enter a unique name for the source tags add tags to control access to this source mode – leave this as push application – select onair ingest cluster – select your cluster target broadcaster – select a broadcaster within the ingest cluster source password – optional add a password to use with the on air app for information about the other fields for this source, see the https //docs zixi com/zen master/adding a zixi source other enabled device document select save to create the source once you have created the source, find it in the display list and edit it in the top right “kebab” icon, select config enter an email address to send the source configuration to your apple device click outside the input area and click send close the configuration window add a new connection return to your apple device (iphone, ipad) open the email from mailto\ mcr\@zixi com in the email, click the link for zixionair if you already have the on air pro app installed on your device, you will be prompted to open in “onair pro”? click open in the on air pro app, the following fields should be populated stream id host port – you can use either 2088 – non encrypted 7088 – protected by dtls password (if you entered one) enter the following name – connection name ignore dtls certificate errors – turn on to enable required with port 7088 and fully qualified domain name click add start streaming in the on air pro app, navigate back to the camera press the red button to start streaming in zen master, you should now see your stream details option 2 streaming directly to a zixi broadcaster to create a connection between the on air pro app and the zixi broadcaster, follow these steps get the broadcaster ip address in a web browser, navigate to https //{youraccount} zen zixi com when you sign in, you should see the zixi zen master dashboard in the left navigation, select broadcasters if your broadcaster resides within a cluster, expand the cluster and select your broadcaster copy the public ip address you will use this to populate the host field in the app add a new connection on your apple device, open the zixi on air pro app in the top left, tap the gear icon in settings , tap connections tap the + icon to create a new connection enter the following information name – give the connection a name stream id – give the stream id a name this will be used to create a temporary input on your broadcaster (e g onair app) host – enter the public ip address for the broadcaster (e g 172 217 22 14) port – leave the default, or set the broadcaster server port which allows push inputs 2088 – non encrypted 7088 – protected by dtls password – optional enter the password set on the broadcaster input ignore dtls certificate errors – turn on to enable required with port 7088 and fully qualified domain name tap add to create the connection navigate back to the video screen in audio settings , you may want to toggle stereo mode on start streaming in the on air pro app, navigate back to the camera press the red button to start streaming in zixi broadcaster, you should now see your new input monitor a platform only feed via zen master in zen master, you can monitor the input from the on air pro app to the broadcaster create a monitor only source in a web browser, navigate to https //{youraccount} zen zixi com when you sign in, you should see the zixi zen master dashboard in the left navigation, select sources select +add select monitor only the name will come from the broadcaster input id enter the following information tags – add tags to control access to this source broadcaster – select your broadcaster broadcaster inputs – select the broadcaster input associated with the on air pro app for information about the other fields for this source, see the https //docs zixi com/zen master/adding a source monitor only document select save to create the source with the monitor only source, zen master shows stream information details, including some historical data option 3 streaming via media connect coming soon
