Attaching a Target to an Alternative Path
If you have configured an Alternative Path through the Broadcaster Cluster or the Channel configuration screens, you can easily attach the Target to the alternative path or back to the primary path.
If the Target has an active alternative path (path that was configured through the Broadcaster Cluster or the Channel configuration screens) and the Target is currently attached to the Primary path you can attach it to the Primary path.
To attach a Target to the Alternative:
In the Target Details screen, click the More Actions menu and select Go to Alternative.
The Alt. Path Confirmation dialog is displayed listing the From Channel ,which is the currently connected channel, and the To Channel, which is the designated Channel to which you will be connecting the Target.
Under Source Preference, select one of the following:
- Any Source - to connect to any Source
- Primary sources - to connect to a Source that is a Primary Source.
- Backup sources - to connect to a Source that is a Backup Source.
Click Confirm to make the replacement. If the replacement took place, a Success message is presented.
If the Target has an active alternative path (path that was configured through the Broadcaster Cluster or the Channel configuration screens) and the Target is currently attached to the alternative path you can revert it to the Primary path.
To attach a Target to a primary:
In the Target Details screen, click the More Actions menu and select Go to Primary.
Click Confirm to make the replacement. If the replacement took place, a Success message is presented.
