"Unknown" typically means ZEN Master has no prior connection record for that source, in that it has never successfully established a session. 

Unknown points to a configuration or provisioning issue.

"Offline" means the source has connected before but is currently not reachable but ZEN Master has a history of it. 

Offline points to a connectivity or encoder issue on a previously working path.

The target was configured and ZEN Master is attempting delivery, but the downstream endpoint is not acknowledging. This is usually a receiving-end issue either firewall, service not running, or the target system is down. 

This indicates that ZEN Master (or the underlying Broadcaster) has Error Concealment enabled on that stream. The signal is experiencing packet loss or corruption, and the system is actively substituting/filling to mask the artifacts. This is not a fatal error — it means the stream is degraded but being held together. 

Treat this as an early warning to investigate source signal health or network path quality.

This error surfaces when there's a discrepancy between what ZEN Master expects for a device or stream configuration versus what it's actually seeing. In practice, this may comes up when Broadcasters are on vastly different software versions across a workflow, or when a channel configuration was pushed before a device fully updated.

Check Broadcaster version consistency across the affected path and compare the ZEN Master channel config against the actual device settings.
