Procedure to replace a Zixi Broadcaster (Hardware) in a active Broadcaster Cluster that has “Pinned” Sources, Channels and Targets.

 Remove as many of the services as possible off of the Zixi Broadcaster that is to be replaced.

Take note and copy all the network, naming and password information from the Broadcaster that is to be replaced.

If there is room in the data center or specific rack location, install your replacement server. 

Prewire the server with the appropriate NICs and available switch ports preset to mirror the port configs of the server to be replaced.  

Load your preferred OS and Zixi Bx software, using the same version as on the server to be replaced.

 Go to the ‘Target’ tab, filter targets by the name of the Broadcaster that is to be replaced.

TAMS
