the following updates will be included in the zen master sept 12, 2023 release note an updated version of this document will be made available after the release features the following new features were implemented in this release • zen master’s aws iam policy has been updated and will become required in early 2024; it is recommended to update now o the policy change allows zen master to support changes to the aws instance launch system that will come into effect at the beginning of 2024 o updating the iam policy of the aws account will be required ahead of the dec 31st aws cutoff date o customers can update their policy using the json documented under configuration, aws accounts, documentation • object version change tracking o change tracking is now implemented for all major object types including zecs, broadcasters/clusters, sources, channels, and most target types o the feature is not yet implemented for mediaconnect/medialive channels and targets o the change tracking panel logs the change history and user and provides individual, and batch revert tools idp new insights and incidents integration o insights multi select broadcasters, sources, or targets and clicking the insights button displays their metrics on a single panel allowing comparison and easy identification of outliers o incidents on source or target details page there is now an incidents tag showing all the incidents the selected object has been in • idp new incidents dashboard o easier at a glance comparison – compare metrics from different objects in the same graph, rather than having to scroll through separate graphs for each o graph annotations – allows user to mark points on the timeline, note important moments during the incident, or external events such as maintenance or equipment failures • show broadcasters without cluster grouping o users can now toggle the broadcasters table between clusters and broadcasters to list and work with a table of all broadcasters, providing the appropriate column options and multi selection tools • broadcaster recovery o when deleting or disabling a broadcaster the user is now presented with an option to migrate all current objects to another broadcaster o triggering the recovery is currently manual only • target pid mapping o pid mapping, previously available in sources, is now available on targets o the feature supports configurations for delivering multiple pid mapped variants of a single channel to meet differing target requirements • private ip auto detection o on aws/azure/gcp broadcaster zm will automatically track the current private ip allowing for private ip streaming without manual configuration • tag multi viewer integration o configure tag mcm 9000 instance to create new multiview source in zen master from user selected zen master sources • live events re work o the update provides a revamped live event dashboard to better accommodate new and future features o custom stages allow users to add and rename as many event stages as needed for the event, such as ▪ ‘pre game build up’ ▪ ‘post match studio analysis’ ▪ etc o clip insertion tools allow the user to specify one or more promo clips which can be played out from clip start on stage transitions or manual insert once the clip is finished the output reverts to the primary feed additional improvements and changes the following issues were resolved • fixed mediaconnect sources not using dtls when pushing to a zm cluster • fixed targets not displayed on grids when selecting with tags • fixed billing codes applied inconsistently on auto pulls • fixed v16+ broadcasters issue on gcp nvidia machines • fixed incorrect instance type displayed on aws broadcasters after an auto recovery if the type was changed on the cluster • fixed missing validation allowing users to create infinite loops with sources that use other sources, such as an inter cluster source that pulls itself • fixed multiple issues with non admin users unable to use zec sources • fixed "failed to acquire streaming ip address" warning spam under some over load conditions • fixed object locations defaulting to north dakota • fixed multi editing
