ZEN MASTER January 2025 RELEASE NOTES

The following updates will be included in the ZEN Master release for January 7, 2025.

The following new features were implemented in this release:

o Zixi Broadcaster and ZEN Master introduce support for POIS (Placement Opportunity Information Service) for identifying and managing content placement opportunities within audio and video streams, primarily for advertising purposes. o Zixi Broadcaster provides SCTE-35 replacement features that work in conjunction with the Zixi ESAM Agent. o The Zixi ESAM Agent has been updated to support POIS messaging and the POIS Broadcaster interface. o SCTE-35 replacement commands are logged locally via the ESAM Agent, and also in ZEN Master. Requires a 3rd party POIS Server, Zixi’s ESAM Agent, and Broadcaster v18.0.45862 or later.

o Support for Target objects is now added to thumbnail grids:

o For teams and environments spanning multiple time zones, ZEN Master provides the ability for users to set a global time zone to assist with coordinating support and incident management. o It can now be set via the time zone picker at the top right of the console. o When changed, all Date/Time data updates to the corresponding time in the selected time zone:

The following additional improvements and changes were implemented in this release: o Separate Audio/PCR overlay controls on thumbnail Grids o Users can now separately choose to display these overlays: o Improved loading times for Channels and Live-Events pages o Diagrams added to ZEC/Feeder/Receiver pages o Support for S3 compatible storage o Source monitoring will now report error concealment and PID mapping errors o Traceroute on Sources is now available from ZEC/client Broadcaster to server Broadcaster o DPDK Improvements o UI Improvements

The following issues were resolved: o CIDR pattern validation allowed some invalid values o Repeating Network/IP updated events log messages when ISP has special characters in the name o Repeating TR-101 analysis stopped messages in Broadcaster events log o Error configuring Zixi Push bonded Source o SRT Push Sources will not go into error state until the first connection o Unable to import AWS MediaConnect workflow o Invalid parameters errors on some clone actions o Various ESNI/ESAM/POIS bug fixes

The following updates were implemented in the ZEN Master API:

o Return 'cloud_id' with the Broadcaster list & get responses o For Broadcasters managed and launched via ZEN Master, the corresponding internal cloud instance_id is included in the api responses.
