Source History Encoding Quality ePSNR

1min

This graph displays the estimated Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (ePSNR) over time, representing the video encoding quality. Each vertical orange box plot corresponds to a timestamp and shows the distribution of ePSNR values during that interval.

Y-axis (ePSNR Value): Indicates the estimated PSNR, which is a measure of video quality — higher values typically represent better encoding quality.

Box plot elements:

  • Top whisker: Maximum ePSNR
  • Top of box: 75th percentile
  • Bottom of box: 25th percentile
  • Bottom whisker: Minimum ePSNR

ePSNR analysis is supported for MPEG2 or H.264 content, but not for most types of HEVC/H.265 content. Also, Sources must be 8-bit (not HDR) and Progressive (not Interlaced).
