The Rules section shows options for all of the rules for the selected Events Profile. The following information is shown:

| **Parameter** | **Description**                                                                                                                                                                                                       |
| ------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Type          | The type of rule, which defines the component that it relates to. Types include:<br />* Broadcaster
* Adaptive Channel
* MediaConnect Flow
* Publishing Target
* Pull
* Remote Access
*  Source
* Target
* ZEC        |
| Group         | Rules are grouped into the following groups:<br />* Usage
* Adaptive group
* Offline
* Rendition error
* API
* Configuration
* License
* Status
* Usage
* Validation
* Failover
* Connection
* Analysis
* Transcoding |
| Rule          | The name of the rule                                                                                                                                                                                                  |
| Modified      | - **Yes&#x20;**- indicated that the rule has been modified from its default settings.&#x20;
- **No&#x20;**- indicates that the rile was not modified.&#x20;                                                           |
| Disabled      | * **Yes** – indicates that the rule is disabled, so that no Events will be logged for this rule.
* **No or \{blank}&#x20;**– indicates that the rule is enabled.                                                      |

## Filtering the Rules

The list of rules can be filtered in one of the following manners:

- Type the string or part of the string into the **Filter&#x20;**&#x66;ield. The filter applies to all the columns.&#x20;
- Click **+ Add Filter** and select the column to filter by.&#x20;
  - For boolean values select/deselect the relevant values.
  - For string values type the string and select one of the following:
    - Contains
    - Equals
    - Begins With
