For each Zixi Broadcaster instance that has been added to the cluster (for manual management), you will need to configure the connection of the Zixi Broadcaster (using its Zixi Broadcaster UI). This includes configuring the SSH tunnel. You will need an SSH key, which you can create in ZEN Master - see [Configuring SSH Keys](docId\:qXuh0ckZbygbyCRZvjtwS).

Note: for the steps below, you will need to work in both in ZEN Master and in the Broadcaster settings, so it will be useful keep both open in separate browser tabs.

**To connect the Zixi Broadcaster:**

In ZEN Master, in the main navigation, click **Broadcasters **and open the **Broadcasters** tab:

Click on the Broadcaster that has a **Pending **status to reveal the details:

Click the :FontAwesome[]{icon="fa-solid fa-ellipsis-vertical"} icon in the upper-right corner of the details to reveal the **More Actions** menu:

Click :FontAwesome[]{icon="fa-solid fa-gear"} **Config** to open these configuration instructions for the Broadcaster:

At this point, you can simply follow the instructions provided in ZEN Master*. *Also note the :FontAwesome[]{icon="fa-solid fa-clipboard"} icons beside items that you will need to copy and paste items into the Broadcaster settings, and Click the :FontAwesome[]{icon="fa-solid fa-download"}  icon to download the SSH certificate you will need later to upload to the Broadcaster. The additional steps below simply add more detail in case you need it.

Open a new browser tab and open the Broadcaster UI (if it is on the machine you are using, you can go to http\://localhost:4444, or if it is remote, to http\://(ip address):4444 (for example: http\://108.225.51.7:4444). Login as **admin.**

The default password is 1234 - for security reasons, you should change this to something more secure. If you do that now, remember that you will need to update the password in the ZEN Master settings for the Broadcaster as well.

Go to **Settings** in the main Broadcaster navigation, and click on **SSH Connections**:

Click :FontAwesome[]{icon="fa-solid fa-plus"} **Add Connection **and in the dialog that opens, enter **zixieast.io.zixi.com** in the **Host** field:

Click **Edit Credentials** to open the dialog to add your SSH credentials from ZEN Master

For the **User**, copy and paste the **User name in Step 4 of the Configuration Instructions in ZEN Master:**

Click the **Upload Key** button and upload the private key file that you downloaded in Step 5 above.

Repeat steps 8-11 for **zixiwest.io.zixi.com**

Verify in ZEN Master that the status of the newly configured Broadcaster cluster is *OK*.

Select the new Broadcaster cluster. In the Broadcaster section, verify that the status of the Broadcaster that was added to the cluster has changed from *Pending* to *OK*.
