--- title: Connecting Device Using Remote Access slug: zen-master/connecting-device-using-remote-access docTags: createdAt: 2024-12-27T19:27:10.784Z --- Once you have created a remote access profile in ZEN Master you can to use the configuration settings shown in ZEN Master to connect the device to ZEN Master using the device's UI. The UI structure varies for different devices, however the following settings should be configured to connect to ZEN Master. :::hint{type="info"} Videon devices that have been properly configured through as part of the remote access profile configuration do not require further configuration. ::: **To connect a Zixi-enabled device:** 1. In **ZEN Master**, in the main navigation, click **Remote Access**. 2. Select the relevant remote access profile from the list of remote access profiles. 3. The **Details** pane at the right of the screen contains specific configuration settings for connecting the Zixi-enabled device. Use the values shown for the following parameters to configure the Zixi-enabled device: | **Parameter** | **Description** | | ---------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | Name | The name of the remote access profile as configured in ZEN Master. | | Type | The Type of Remote Access profile. Possible types are Zixi or Videon. | | Tags | The Tag/s that is associated with this remote access profile.
You can edit the tag as follows: click the edit icon. Then, delete the current tag by clicking the "X" next to the tag and/or add a new tag/s by selecting one or more tags from the dropdown list. | | Events Configuration Profile | Only relevant for Videon type. The Events Configuration Profile that was assigned to this Videon remote access device. Events Profiles are used to customize the way that Events are handled in ZEN Master. | | SSH Key | Enables you to download the SSH Key that was generated in ZEN Master for this connection. | | Host | The IP address/URL of the ZEN Master host. | | Username | The username assigned for this device in ZEN Master. | | Tunnel Port | The port on the ZEN Master server assigned for communication with the Zixi-enabled device. | | Open | A link to the device’s console. | | Username | The username assigned for this device in ZEN Master. |
