The following updates will be included in the ZEN Master September 6, 2022 release.

Features

The following new features were implemented in this release:
• Added propagation of ZEN Master tags on Broadcasters to AWS EC2 machines. Requires
updating policy on AWS with example found under Configuration->Amazon AWS and
then editing and re-saving Broadcaster Cluster.
• Added read-only API keys
• Added support for spinning up Graviton2 EC2 instances on AWS
• Added ability to configure HTTP Targets for YouTube Live
• Added support for E-AC3 Dolby Digital Plus audio output in transcoding profile
• Added ability to select a specific Broadcaster for a pass-through Channel
• Added individual alerts for each CQA scenario – frozen video, blank picture, silent audio,
and audio clipping – so they can be configured individually
• Added Active Objects tab to Broadcaster page that shows Sources/Targets/Channels
that are currently active on that Broadcaster
• Enabled installation of AgentZ on ZEN Master managed Broadcasters. AgentZ pushes
analytics and statistics data from the Broadcaster machine to ZEN Master and replaces
the current pull based model. AgentZ will enable additional data, such as machine and
OS related data, to be collected by ZEN Master and used in the Intelligent Data Platform.
AgentZ will automatically be installed on newly spun up Broadcasters. For existing
Broadcasters, the Broadcaster Detail page contains a link that will install AgentZ on that
Broadcaster.
• Intelligent Data Platform:
o Added “Automated Multi-Object Correlated RCA Attribution”. IDP now
automatically groups together signal degradation errors, based on not-recovered
packets, across multiple Sources and Targets into correlated Incidents. It helps
determine root cause by showing what the involved objects have in common: a
client network, server network, or Broadcaster, and identifies the offending
network or Broadcaster. It also shows relevant ratios for the root cause
attribution, such as the percentage of connected objects on a Broadcaster that
failed.
o Updated the detailed Incident View with an expanded blast radius view that
shows Incidents that span multiple Channels including an advanced table view of
all involved Sources and Targets. Also improved graph order and locking control
and made Incident details and notes more prominent.

Additional Improvements and Changes

The following additional improvements and changes were implemented in this release:
• Added ability to mute an individual Broadcaster in a Broadcaster Cluster
• Added separate Broadcaster and Cluster filters in the Events Log
• Added ability to change Source/Channel Target Broadcaster with no restart
• Added Network/Location changes in the Broadcaster event log
• Added new warning alert when Sources are not binary identical in a Failover Source with
hitless merge enabled, set to log only by default
• Added a 404 page if user enters an invalid URL
• Improved Target Channel switching time by using the Broadcaster's switch Input feature
when possible
• Improved table format on Sources and Channels pages with new capabilities such as
dragging columns to a new location and resizing columns
• Improved AWS cluster implementation including:
o differentiating between machines launched by the user or AWS
o reusing the same Broadcaster object in ZEN Master when AWS replaces an
instance
o logging successful elastic IP assignment
• Improved display of multiple alerts on Grid thumbnails
• Replaced Notes auto-save with save/delete buttons
• Exposed Failover Source switching and slate locking to public API
• Failover Sources now default to non-hitless. The more advanced merge mode options
are now found under a "Show more options" toggle.
• Adaptive Channel type is now hidden behind a "Show more options" toggle
• Clarified error message when a Cluster delete is blocked by a Pass-through

Bug Fixes

The following issues were resolved:
• Fixed thumbnails missing for users with read-only permissions
• Fixed issue with cloning UDP/RTP Sources
• Fixed issue with Channel diagrams on disabled Channels
• Fixed multiple issues on Source forms
• Fixed EC2 instances with no name after launch, requires Cluster edit
• Fixed resetting latency on Zixi Pull "Other" Target types
• Fixed incorrect Source Offline message appearing for a minute after a Source is created
• Fixed multiple issues displaying a restart warning on edit
• Fixed issue where editing PID mapping Source changes it to an Inter-cluster Source
• Fixed credentials error when writing to Azure Blob Storage
• Fixed incorrect Target offline error even when it is working
• Fixed sync issue between ZEN Master and Broadcaster when editing Sources in use by
Failover Sources
• Fixed Targets connecting to invalid Sources after a Channel/Target Edit
• Fixed switching Channels on Targets with specific Source preference breaking sync
between ZEN Master and Broadcaster configurations
• Fixed inconsistent values on candle stick history graphs when zooming in/out
