The following updates will be included in the ZEN Master November 30, 2021 release.

Features

The following new features were implemented in this release:
• Added ability to define and view Incidents on Channels in ZEN Master. An Incident is
defined by a user selected time range and includes time/user-stamped notes. The
Incident view allows the user to select or “pin” multiple history graphs and event logs
for objects in the Channel and view them together on a single page synchronized to the
time range for the incident. The Channel diagram is displayed as well on the same page.
An example is shown below.
• Added diagrams to Sources, Feeders, and Receivers. Channels and Targets included
diagrams previously.
• Added ability to create MediaConnect Sources from Elemental Link encoder devices
• Added support for failover based on TR-101 and CQA errors. Previously, the user could
specify parameters for a rule for zero bitrate streams to trigger a switch to another
Source in a good state. Now the rules for that failover are expanded to include TR-101
P1 transport errors, Frozen Video, Blank Picture, and Silent Audio. This feature applies
to non-identical Sources merged hitless failover is not in being used. Broadcaster v15.0
is required.
Additional Improvements
The following additional improvements were implemented in this release:
• Added support for Broadcaster v15 transcoding updates to NVIDIA CUDA 11.4 and driver
version 470.

• Added support for HRD buffer fractions in the transcoding profile
• Improved DTLS redirection support
• Added sticky multi-selection after an operation such as enable/disable or mute/unmute
• Added UDP send errors to Target graphs for UDP, Zixi Pull, and Zixi Push
• Added Disk usage column to Broadcaster list in Broadcaster cluster
• Added a Broadcaster "restart required" confirmation when applying Broadcaster
configuration that will require a restart that results in a stream interruption
• Clarified status display of AWS Broadcasters terminated by AWS
• Updated list of supported AWS regions to include recently added regions
• Added disable checkbox for Source - Analysis - TR101 P2 in Event Profiles
• Added an alert when a Source is connected to the wrong Broadcaster in the same
cluster

Bug Fixes

The following issues were resolved:
• Fixed RIST targets not configured correctly on Broadcasters
• Fixed issue creating Broadcaster Sources with manual bonding
• Fixed issue with Broadcaster losing virtual GPU after GCP maintenance event
• Fixed an issue causing ZEN Master to try to create redundant Target configs on the same
Broadcaster
• Fixed intercluster Sources requiring a restart after an edit to apply the new
configuration
• Fixed ‘Sources Create’ API endpoint requiring that an Event Profile to be specified
• Fixed AWS Broadcasters launching with no name
• Fixed DNS redirect issue with SRT Targets
• Fixed issue with being unable to disable MediaConnect Channels using Automation
• Fixed issue with Broadcaster restarting unnecessarily when applying Broadcaster
configuration
• Fixed an issue preventing Broadcaster GPU usage from showing up in the Broadcasters
table
• Fixed issue with not reporting SCTE-35 messages with UPID 0 "Not Used"
• Fixed issue with not cleaning up no longer required auto-pulls
• Fixed issue incorrectly configuring PID Mapping in some edge cases
• Fixed UI issues with PID Mapping Match PCR to Video PID
