## TRANSCODING ON AZURE BROADCASTER CLUSTERS

ZEN Master now supports transcoding in Broadcaster clusters on Azure. When adding or editing a
Broadcaster cluster, select an instance name such as “Standard\_N\*” to choose an instance with an
embedded NVIDIA GPU.

WRITING HLS/DASH TO MEDIASTORE
ZEN Master now supports writing HLS and Dash streams to AWS Elemental MediaStore. To use MediaStore select HTTP for the target type and then select MediaStore for the type.

MINOR IMPROVEMENTS AND BUG FIXES

• Improved styling of stream visualization Channel diagram and made it the default tab when
selecting a Channel.
• Stream visualization diagram now include Hitless and Transcoded Sources.
• Improved errors when Channel create/enable failed, e.g. if Broadcaster version doesn't support
required features the feature will be mentioned with the minimal required version.
• Creating or cloning a Target will now select the Target.
• Monitoring of S3 Targets no longer requires the S3 bucket to be public.
• Removed 'Low video quality' from Content Quality Analytics. It is superseded by ePSNR analysis
that will be available with Broadcaster V13.
• DASH outputs are now named “DASH + fMP4 HLS”
. Preview playback is currently available only
for the fMP4 HLS. Preview for DASH will be added later.
• Added a white background to TR-101 status icons in Grids for better contrast.
• Added info icons with tool-tips to clarify some fields.
• Can now force Remote Access tunnels to use regular HTTP; automatic HTTPS/HTTP detection fails
on some devices.
• Improved Source stats API.
• Improved events log filtering.
• Removed Azure locations that don't support the required API commands.
• Improved Source detection logic when multiple Broadcaster inputs with the same ID exist on
multiple Broadcasters in the same cluster. Should prevent ZEN Master monitoring an intra-cluster
Pull instead of the actual Source.
• Improved /events API command to include additional filtering options and response fields.
• Improved validation on many UI input fields.
• Fixed ZEN Master reporting a generic error instead of input offline when the input is offline for a
Broadcaster “Configure & Monitor” Source.
• Fixed a rare race condition causing notification emails to not be sent.
• Fixed object stats API call failing on time windows of more than 30 days.
• Fixed stream visualization when user has no view permissions on some objects in the Channel
graph.
• Fixed an issue preventing Broadcasters on AWS EC2 from being deleted if the machine failed or
was terminated via the AWS console.
• Fixed an issue causing pages to load with empty object list when using a link to a specific object
with cached search filter.
• Fixed monitor only Pull stuck in pending mode when monitoring a saved Pull with a stream
redirection.
