The following updates were pushed to ZEN Master on June 22, 2020.

Multiple GPU Management

You can now manage Zixi Broadcaster instances with multiple GPUs, so that when you are
running heavy transcoding activities, you can ensure that the load is distributed among several
different GPUs. For each transcoding activity done on a Source or a Channel you can now
specify which GPU instance it is assigned to, enabling you to balance the load. Currently,
multiple GPUs are only supported on Broadcaster instances launched by ZEN Master on AWS
and the AWS instance needs to have multiple GPUs, such as the g4dn.12xlarge.
Assigning Multiple GPUs for Transcoded Sources
The Create/Edit Transcoded Source screens now include an Assign to GPU checkbox. You can
select this checkbox in order to assign the transcoding to a Broadcaster with multiple GPUs and
specify which GPU instance to use. This feature is only relevant for Sources for which the Ingest
Cluster includes a Broadcaster with multiple GPUs (or can spin up a multi GPU instance).
1\. 2. Select the Assign to GPU checkbox.
Click on the field that opens below the checkbox and select a GPU instance (instances
are designated as 0-3 in this example).

### Assigning Multiple GPUs for Transcoded Channels

The Create/Edit Transcoded Channel screens now include an Assign to GPU checkbox. You can
select this checkbox in order to assign the transcoding to a Broadcaster with multiple GPUs and
specify which GPU instance to use. This feature is only relevant for Channels for which the
Processing Cluster includes a Broadcaster with multiple GPUs (or can spin up a multi GPU
instance).
1\. 2. Select the Multi GPU checkbox.
For each Transcoding Profile that you apply, specify which GPU instance it is assigned to
(instances are designated as 0-3 in this example).

Configuring SCTE-35 Conversion and Timecode for HLS

For HLS Adaptive and Transcoded Channels you can now control the system behavior for SCTE-
35 cue point conversion (ZM-900) and timecode insertion.

### SCTE Conversion

The default behavior is to convert both CUE-OUT and CUE-IN cues. In the Advanced settings,
you can now choose to convert only CUE-OUT cues or to not convert any SCTE-35 cues.

### Timecode Insertion

You can also adjust the settings for timecode insertion. The default behavior is to insert the
timecode based on the system time. In the Advanced settings you can now choose to insert the
timecode using the SEI Timecode or to not insert the timecode at all.

### MINOR IMPROVEMENTS AND BUG FIXES

The following minor improvements were implemented:
• A Help link is now available in the header bar that directs you to the ZEN Master online
documentation.

The following issues were resolved:
• Fixed issue where ZEN Master was unable to launch GCP Broadcasters without GPU
• Fixed issue where editing a Target was erroneously warning of a Broadcaster restart
• Fixed sorting by status on some pages
• Fixed error message text when attempting to delete a Broadcaster from a Cluster
• Fixed many UI typos and missing fields and implemented general UI polish
• Updated PID mapping feature to match Broadcaster v14.0.39309
