the following updates were pushed to zen master on january 13, 2019 direct management of access tags zen master has added a new access tags screen to the settings menu on this screen you can add new access tags, edit the names of existing access tags and delete (unused) access tags (previously, access tags could only be created within the flow of creating roles and then they could not be edited or deleted ) 1\ under settings, select access tags on the access tags screen you can add a new access tag by click the "+ add" button or you can edit or delete an existing tags by clicking on the desired action for that tag transcoder outputs – h 264 or h 265 (hevc) zen master now supports transcoded outputs using h 265 (hevc) codec (in addition to h 264) for h 265 you can choose between encoding profiles main or main 10 (for h 264 the available encoding profiles are baseline, main or high ) 1\ in the add new transcoding profile dialogue, select the desired video codec and then select the desired encoding profile network bonding for broadcaster and feeder sources zen master now supports network bonding for sources from zixi feeders and zixi broadcasters for broadcasters, you can now manually select specific nics to be used for bonding for zixi feeders, in addition to the existing option of automatic bonding, which uses any available nic, zen master also supports manual bonding bonding broadcaster sources 1\ when configuring a zixi broadcaster source, you can activate network bonding by selecting the bonding checkbox you then need to select which nics are used by clicking the "+" button next to each nic for each selected nic, specify the max bitrate and whether or not it is designated as a backup o if you want to use this link only if there isn't enough bandwidth in the other links, select the backup checkbox o if you want to use this link in parallel to other links, do not select the backup checkbox bonding feeder sources 1\ when configuring a zixi feeder source, you can select one of the following options • none – no bonding • manual – you specify which nics are used for bonding • auto – any available nics are used for bonding 2\ 3 when you select manual, you need to specify which nics are used, by clicking the "+" button next to the nic for each selected nic, specify the max bitrate and whether or not it is designated as a backup pass through option for transcoded channels you can now pass the original source through when creating a transcoded channel 1\ if you would like to pass the source through, in the add new transcoded channel dialogue, select the includes source checkbox then, enter the bitrate for this source pull sources from mediaconnect zen master added support for pull (in addition to push) sources from aws mediaconnect 1\ when configuring an aws mediaconnect source, select the radio button next to the desired mode options are pull (default) or push minor improvements and bug fixes • for a target that is not assigned and also disabled, show status as disabled (as this takes precedence over the lesser issue of being unassigned) • zen master now uses mean cpu/gpu (over the past 3 minutes) to determine availability of a broadcaster • zen master now supports unlimited mediaconnect flows • push targets are no longer affected by load balancing, rather they remain on the original broadcaster • updated nvidia drivers for transcoding on aws and gcp • updated aws instances that are available for aws broadcaster clusters, setting t3a as the default selection • fixed issue – some searches had been returning incomplete results • fixed issue – minor ui problems with the new automation feature • fixed issue – had been showing mistaken error message for a channel with two sources sent to a mediaconnect target • fixed issue – mistakenly assigning hitless failover sources to backup broadcasters • fixed issue – gcp broadcasters ignoring network configuration • fixed issue – sql error when deleting a source that is being used by an inter cluster source • fixed issue – problems with updating cbr padding of transcoded sources
