the following updates were pushed to zen master on august 5, 2020 old ui end of life notice in april 2020 zixi introduced a new ui for zen master in the june 3rd release the new ui was set to be the default with a button allowing the user to switch to the old ui in this release that button is removed but the old ui is still available, for emergency purposes, by specifying its url in the browser in the early august release of zen master, the old ui will be retired completely and no longer available ndi sources and targets ndi sources and targets can now be configured in zen master to create an ndi source, select ndi on the create new source page next, after selecting the target broadcaster, the ndi stream pull down will show ndi streams available on the local network where the broadcaster is hosted choose the desired ndi stream from the list because ndi streams are provided to the broadcaster as raw video frames, you next need to select an encoding profile so that the stream can be encoded if you do not have existing encoding profiles then you will need to create one note, the encoding profile cannot pass through video or audio, it must encode both with encoding parameters of your choosing unlike many other source types, pid mapping and scte 35 logging are not available with ndi because this data does not exist in ndi streams redundancy enhancements over the coming months we will be enhancing the types of redundant architectures that can be deployed and monitored in zen master the enhancements below are components of this effort • added option to disable auto pull on sources • added the ability to have backup broadcasters in aws/azure/gcp • added 'prefer backup' failover option for sources minor improvements and bug fixes • improved sources page load performance • scte messages are now reported with detection time instead of processing time • added api control and 4mb default socket size to all pull inputs created in zen master • added nic selection to udp sources • added note to broadcaster version selection if the current selected version has been retired broadcaster clusters will continue to use the already selected broadcaster version, even if retired, unless the broadcaster version is explicitly updated by the user • added gpu id to warning/error events on gpu usage thresholds • added per gpu performance graphs for broadcasters with multiple gpu cores • added a limit of 25 to the number of sources that can be created at one time in the zen master ui the zen master api is recommended for bulk operations • fixed missing tr 101 section when content analysis on sources was disabled • fixed unable to mute/unmute, disable/enable all on sources page • fixed issue where user was unable to create zixi pull targets with device "other” in hitless failover mode
