# ZEN Master — July 28, 2026 Release Notes

The following updates will be included in the ZEN Master July 28, 2026 release.

## Features

The following new features were implemented in this release:

### Search

- **Global search rework:**

  - Global search is updated to search across all object types and use frontend detailed filtering, breaking results out in the standard tables.
  - Networks are now included in global search results.

- **Implemented Preset Filters for Simplified Table Search Experience:**
  - Standard searched filters can now be saved as presets which persist across sessions and browsers.
  - Saved filters can be private or made public for wider use.

### Channel Switching

- Channel Switching button added to Target grids.

### Transport & Processing

- UDP/RTP Target remux settings in ZM UI and API.
- Remux support on Error Concealment sources.

- Display and select SRT version on Sources/Targets:
  - Added option to select SRT library version on Sources/Targets. Note - requires version 19 and the selection is not enforced when version is not available.
  - Version selection is available in the Advanced section of the edit dialog.

- "Bind to local NIC by CIDR" added to Zixi PUSH and SRT Caller Targets (parity with UDP/RTP).

- "Discontinuity on CUE" flag added to adaptive/transcoded channels:
  - Exposed new "Discontinuity on CUE" flag on Transcoded/Adaptive Channels to provide platform parity.
  - Flag is available in advanced section of the dialog and the ZEN Master setting is propagated to the Broadcaster.
- Rendition sort control on Transcode and Adaptive Channel ladders.

- New Adaptive Group option to insert HLS PDT when using SEI timecode (Hotfixed):
  - Added Segmentation Time option to Adaptive Channel "Timecode (EXT-X-PROGRAM-DATE-TIME) Source".

- Cluster-level control to enable/disable PID 23 metadata injection, in the Advanced section of the cluster edit dialog. (Metadata injection is enabled by default.)

- **NETINT transcoding card support provided with profiles for Broadcaster Version 19.** Current NETINT options include:
  1. 8 Bit or 10 Bit PP
  2. 420 chroma subsampling
  3. Decode / Scale / Encode

### Cloud and Infrastructure

- Multi-select for Broadcaster migration tools - Upgrade, Refresh, AWS SSM (at the cluster level).
- Added support for g6.2xl to g6.12xl instance types in ZEN Master.
- Managed AWS Nvidia cluster instances now launch with the latest validated AWS Linux 2023 AMI.
- ZEN Master tags now propagate to all AWS resources on cluster/BX creation.
- Dropdown list of Elastic IPs when selecting EIP reservation IDs.
- Network settings editing disabled in the Broadcaster UI for machines in managed AWS, GCP, or Azure deployments.

### Auth and Security

- PKCE SSO support for OAuth 2.0 login.

### Failover

- Added "Source became inactive" event log for Failover Sources.
- Lock / Unlock control added to the in-diagram context menu for Failover Sources.

## Additional Improvements and Changes

The following additional improvements and changes were implemented in this release:

- Added SSM command execution logging — who ran it, timestamp, and the script executed.
- Added lifecycle logging for SSH tunnel keys.
- Enabled Event Log download for users with read access.
- Added a log entry confirming Live Clip insertion via the Live Events workflow.
- Added optional toggles to clone Tasks and/or Schedules when cloning an Automation.

- Added a landing page redirecting OnAir share links to the app.
- Extended the Broadcaster restart detection window to capture restarts with downtime over \~30 seconds.
- Object page layout controls moved to dropdown.

- Added button to fit widget height to content.
- Transcode profile logo insertion now shows a UI preview of logo placement.

- Look and feel layout improvements to ZEN Master's VLC player page.
- Updated DTLS encryption icon.

### ESNI

- Added a button to re-trigger all currently active policies in the ESNI schedule view.
- Added a Target "Sync with ESNI schedule" button to manually sync an ESNI-controlled Target with its schedule.
- Re-fire already-active policy actions to re-apply SCTE-35 content IDs and similar signal actions.
- ESNI as-run report export.

### SCTE

- SCTE-35 modification: "Select from MID" operation allowing selection of specific UPID from a MID type UPID to pass on to downstream.

### New API Methods

- **SCTE-35 Profiles:** to the existing endpoint, added methods:
  - POST /scte35\_modification\_profiles
  - GET by ID, PUT, DELETE /scte35\_modification\_profiles/\:scte35ProfileId

### API Field Additions/Updates

- **Access Keys, Events Profiles, PID Mapping, Tags, Transcoding Profiles:**
  - Added name query parameters for efficient use.
- **Channels, Targets:**
  - Added functionality for the name query parameter.
- **Channels, Sources, Targets:**
  - Added Billing Channel ID.
  - Field: billing\_tag.
  - Transcoded Channels.
  - Sources: All except NDI, Monitor Only.
  - Targets: HTTP, RIST, RTMP, SRT, UDP/RTP, Zixi Pull/Push.
- **Clusters:**
  - Added Billing Channel ID.
  - Fields: inputs\_billing\_tag, outputs\_billing\_tag.
- **Sources:**
  - New filters for GET /sources.
  - Added type query parameter to filter by Source type.
  - Added cluster\_id query parameter to filter by Cluster.
- **Sources, Channels:**
  - Remux support for Error Concealment.
  - Added error\_concealment\_remux\_mode.
  - Added error\_concealment\_remux\_buff\_size\_ms.
  - Added error\_concealment\_smoothing\_ms.
  - Sources: Demux, Failover, HLS, Inter-Cluster, Multiplex, Multiplex SPTS, RIST, RTMP, SRT, UDP/RTP, Zixi Pull.
  - Channels: Failover (deprecated).
- **Targets UDP/RTP:**
  - Remux settings from the Broadcaster.
  - Added remux\_pcr\_interval.
  - Added remux\_buffer\_ms.
  - Added remux\_disable\_padding.

### Documentation Only

- **Failover Channels:** deprecated endpoints will be removed in a future release:
  - PUT /channels/failover/{channelId}/components/{componentSourceId}
  - GET, POST /channels/failover
  - GET, PUT, DELETE /channels/failover/{channelId}
  - GET /channels - response will no longer include Failover Channels.
- **Failover Channel Objects:** deprecated objects will be removed in a future release:
  - GET, POST, PUT /live\_events
    - failover\_channel\_ids, failoverChannels.
  - POST /live\_events/{eventId}/stages/{stageName}
    - FailoverChannels.

### ESNI

- **Signal on remove in ESNI schedule view:**
  - Updated ESNI schedule view to display triggering signal when a Remove activates a new policy.
- Support PT0S for signalTolerance.
- Scope UPID Format to Media.
- **Don't fail on missing timestamps in simulation:**
  - Updated ESNI simulation engine to support MatchSignal only schedules.
- ESNI future capped to 24hrs.
- Signal and raw popup optimization.

### SCTE

- ZM support for SCTE35 insertion on Zixi Push sources.
- **Match Target SCTE log UI to that of Source SCTE log:**
  - Added SCTE-35 history graphs on Targets.
- **SCTE-35 modification: allow changes before a Create rule:**
  - SCTE-35 create rules now apply in order.
- Improve error handling on SCTE-35 modification simulation UI.
- **"Install SCTE-35 Modification Agent" button now installs to the same directory as a manual install:**
  - Updated SCTE-35 Modification agent install folder to match manual install.
- **Manual Channel Switching for POIS enabled Targets:**
  - Added Channel Switching support for POIS enabled targets when assigned to channels with a single Source.
- **SCTE35 parser XML builder drops Avail Descriptor:**
  - Fixed MIST being unable to create Avail Descriptors in modified/created SCTE-35 signals.
- **SCTE-35 modification: selecting "No UPID" on Create type 5 to 6 fails:**
  - Fixed SCTE-35 encoding error when creating a type 6 with "No UPID".
- **SCTE-35 source graph collapses Time Signal events:**
  - Fixed all Type 6 (TimeSignal) SCTE-35 messages graphed as a single type.
- **POIS output and loopback not being created:**
  - Fixed Target creation when using loopbacks silently failing due to port conflicts. Note - for UDP/RTP, RIST, and SRT client v19.0 broadcaster is required.

### Licensing and Usage

- **License and Measure: new "Channel ID" field in UI and API:**
  - New "Billing Channel ID" field in UI and API to support new channel-based usage tracking.
- **Usage reporting backend support for new counters in v19:**
  - The metrics include input quantity, output quantity, and transcode quantity.
